Δημοσιεύτηκε σε φόρουμ Νότια Αφρική

My husband was born in south Africa but has lived in america for the past 28 years, Do to his parents failure to complete his citizenship here he is being deported back to South Africa.
So my question is it safe for myself and our two daughters to move there? My inlaws have said no because we are white american females.

I have decided to move there in a few months after my kids finish up for the year and my job contract ends.
That also gives my husband time to find us a place to live.
Thank you so much for the advice.

If my spouse were deported to any other country, I would follow them there regardless of how safe or unsafe it were
I lived in Cape Town for many years and was never a victim to any crime.
Common sense goes a long way to staying out of trouble
Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities on planet earth and it becomes a difficult place to leave once you are settled there.
It has all the amenities of any North American city
With hard work and determination, Im sure the both of you will find good jobs regardless of the color of your skin.
Lets put it this way, I live in Texas and had 2 cars stolen (not mine) from the underground parking at our apartment the last month
I also ride to work everyday on the i35 with my heart my hand hoping some fool doesn't wipe me out with their ignorant driving. There are dangers wherever we live.
Just do it. South Africa is an amazing country, you'll love it there
